Max version of MySql or MariaDB supported?

I need to upgrade my website to a more recent version of MySQL or MariaDB.

Currently its working fine on MySQL 5.6. What versions of these above DBs is the most recent I can upgrade to that Shapley works 100% on please? Thanks

Updating your MySQL or MariaDB should be fine but you can create a backup using this plugin just in case anything goes wrong:

Thanks for the quick reply. I am using WHM and CPanel and there is no easy rollback mechanism to a previous version of the underlying DB engine, so I just want to be 100% sure before I proceed.
