Media uploading

I’m trying to use this theme on http://www.dierenkliniekderuwaard.nl/ my site.
But When I upload pictures(PNG,JPEG tried everything) they don’t show up in the media library. My hosting site says it’s because the theme doesn’t work with wordpress 4.5? Can you help me?

Try to upload photos via ftp and see if you have the same issue, also try the solution from this post:

I still dont get it media uploaded… so if someone could help me I would be really grateful…
