Menu Issues

Two things:

  1. In my menu under “Restaurant Reviews”, when I click on the sub category, “Restaurant Reviews” turns purple. How do I make it turn the maroon like the rest of my links after it’s been clicked on?

  2. “Restaurant Reviews” is not clickable, even though I’ve set it to click through to a URL. I want it to link to http://www.lisasit.com/category/reviews.

My website is: www.lisasit.com

Hi @LS,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

1. In my menu under “Restaurant Reviews”, when I click on the sub category, “Restaurant Reviews” turns purple. How do I make it turn the maroon like the rest of my links after it’s been clicked on?

You can try achieving this by adding the following CSS code in the Custom CSS option of your theme on the below path.

Admin Area -> Appearance -> Customize -> Activello Options -> Other -> Custom CSS

#page .dropdown-menu>.active>a,
#page .dropdown-menu>.active>a:hover,
#page .dropdown-menu>.active>a:focus{

background-color: #a93d54;
}

#page .navbar-default .navbar-nav .current-menu-ancestor a.dropdown-toggle{
  color: #a93d54;
}
2. “Restaurant Reviews” is not clickable, even though I’ve set it to click through to a URL. I want it to link to http://www.lisasit.com/category/reviews.

This is the default behavior of Bootstrap framework that we have used in our theme. You can confirm it on the following Bootstrap framework nav menu demo page.

If you want to make the top level menu link visited on clicking on it then you have to develop custom code by referring the solution posted in the following reply.
