Missing Featured Image & Menu Issues

Greetings…in a valiant effort to replicate a sticky menu with a one inch sticky white space that encompasses said menu, I’ve made a mess of my site. Somehow my featured image will no longer display on the static front page. I’ve tried deactivating the sticky menu plugin, as well as deleting and re-adding the featured image. No luck. At the bare minimum, would you be able to help me get my featured image back please? Also, this is the menu look I was trying accomplish: http://digitalhealth.nyc While I’ve gotten the menu to stick, I’ve had no luck adding the white space. I would also appreciate input on that front if it is a quick fix. Thanks so much!

My site is http://foraraneyday.com.

Hello there,

I hope you are doing well today.

Please use the following plugin to clear your WordPress cache:

After doing that please go to Appearance > Customize > Jumbotron and change the featured then take a screenshot of the image and post it here.

Best Regards,
Support

I believe I’ve done what you asked. I downloaded the plugin, “deleted cache” via the plugin, removed and re-added the featured image. All still looks the same.

Hi,

Sorry for a late in response, did you able to fix it in the site http://foraraneyday.com/ , for now I see the jumpotron is showing in the home page without any issue?

No worries. I was able to fix this, but I have not had success in making my logo larger as the previous example. I’ve done quite a bit of searching here and it sounds like this is a common problem. I start with a very large logo image, but when I import into the logo section, I’m forced to crop and the size automatically shrinks drastically. The searching I did yielded CSS that does increase the size; however, it greatly compromises the integrity of the image and makes it extremely pixelated. I have not found a good work around for this issue. Is there a link you could share to help me read up on this? It does seem to be a common thread on this forum. I just haven’t found the right one to fix the issue. Thank you!

Hi,

Did you come across this thread? https://colorlibsupport.com/t/bigger-logo/

Thank you for the link. I did come across that thread. I did not have a child theme. I created one and got it to look the way I wanted it. I then went into the child theme’s functions and tried to paste that code. However, now all I get is a blank white screen no matter what I try to do. Even when I close the window entirely and re-log in, plain white screen. Will you please help. The site is www.foraraneyday.com.

Hi,

That means you did some wrong while editing the code, please login to your website using FTP and delete the child theme or revert the changes you did by editing the functions.php from FTP. After that pass me the WP and FTP Login details in a private reply, I can change that for you!
