Missing fields in Latest News Section and Page Template

Hi,

The site I am working with is http://www.kevinacouture.ca/

The Customizing Latest News Section is missing the Button Text link field. I’ve attached a screenshot showing what I’m seeing. The field was there previously. Now the result is the button link defaults to http://www.kevinacouture.ca/# instead of the Blog.

Connected to this issue is that the Blog page (which I’ve called News and Events), no longer shows blog content. When editing the page, I cannot select the blog template, the only options are Default, Left Sidebar and None.

Any suggestions?

Hello Matthew,

I suspect that you need to head over to Dashboard > Settings > Reading and choose the blog page as the posts front page display.

Let me know if you got it alright or there’s some other issue with the blog page.

Hi Ion,

Yes, you pinpointed the solution. Everything on this site was working just fine for months. I suspect the recent Jetpack update triggered this and other issues I had to resolve since then.
