I have a new business and need to launch my website today. I tried out half a dozen WP themes, and found Illdy, which I absolutely love. I have customized my site to be how I want it - HOWEVER, there is NO option to change the stock image that comes with the theme. I watched the video, and I have looked multiple times for this option. It is not there.
Please tell me how I can remove that photo of the woman and replace it with my own image.
Well, sounds weird but if you watched the video and you already have companion plugin activated then there is nothing than checking the backend of your website, please use this plugin to create temporary access for us, its automatic login link and does not requires sharing your admin details. here is How To guide. at the and don’t forget about “Set as private reply” at the bottom of the message box
I had this same problem as well. I watched the video, uninstalled and reinstalled both the theme and the companion plugin, even went into the code to see if I could find an obvious problem, but I’m not familiar enough with php to find any subtle issues that may be preventing the option from showing up. I changed it fairly easily client-side, but the option just isn’t showing up in the Customizer options
I finally gave up on the missing image editor in the Jumbotron section and realized that you can change the front page header image within the actual page itself (not within the Customize settings). It was quite frustrating to spend so much time trying to follow the video and support instructions only to find out that there’s a much easier way that actually works!
Thank you for responding so quickly to my issue. After watching the video a few more times, and ensuring I had everything set up exactly right, I gave up on the missing image editor in the Jumbotron section and realized you can easily change the front page header image in the actual page itself. I would strongly recommend you add these instructions to your support documentation - as a much more straightforward way to remove that stock photo and add one’s own image.
Do you have a plugin that allowed you to change the header image in the page itself? If not, how were you able to edit the front page without the customizing option?
I actually figured out what was causing the problem on my end. I had a plugin called NimbleBuilder that I guess was interfering with the code, so once I deactivated that, I was able to change the header image.
Sorry for the delay it was caused by the weekends
As i can see from your replies you already fixed your problems, is there anything i can do for you? from now I’m available twice in a day till the end of this week so your messages will not be delayed
Hello,
I have the same problem. Colors and Background tabs haven’t got any content, no matter which section I try to edit. I had to right-click → inspect element and put the divs to display:block (they were display:none) to make it work.
I only have Illdy Companion and Contact Form 7 installed so plugins aren’t what’s causing it.
I reinstalled Wordpress twice and the problem persists. Illdy is updated btw.
