I have attempted to do this by making a copy of the homepage template and renaming it to the new page name. Once I do that I set the new page to use the new page template that I created. From there I edited the functions.php file and copied the section for the home page and renamed it accordingly to get a new widget area for my new page. Once that was done I went to the new page and the widget is partially working, It has the section title and button but no image. Also the page is not like the home page. It has the banner at the top and the page name like a normal full width page would have. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
