New widget doesn't show

Hello forum,
After following instructions here: https://colorlibsupport.com/t/use-homepage-layout-for-other-pages/page/2/#post-78945
I’m still somewhat stuck.
I created the new widget area, put a few test-widgets in, created a test-page and selected the template for the new widget area, press preview - and the page is empty.
What has gone wrong?

Hi Ivo,

Thank you for your question.

Can you please try temporary enabling WP_DEBUG mode? To do this, just go to wp-config.php include this:

define('WP_DEBUG',true);

You might already have a line for WP_DEBUG, so just make sure it’s set to true.

Let me know what errors if any you are getting on that page.

Also could you please share me the page URL from your site where it is not displaying so that i can troubleshoot it?
