# Novice question - individual blog post template

In the Shapely theme, where do I find and edit the template for the individual blog page? How can I add items to the sidebar on that individual blog page?

Go to Appearance → Widgets and add your desired widgets to the Sidebar area. For the individual post template, use a child theme to safely customize the single-post layout without losing changes during theme updates.
