Pagination options - changing the words "Newer" and "Older" into other language

Pagination is in effect automatically (by limiting the numbers of posts per page) which is great. However, I can’t seem to find a way to change the words Newer and Older into whatever else. I need them to be in a different language.

I’m not using a plugin for pagination - Sparkling theme only.

Please advise.

Those strings can be translated, you either use this plugin Loco Translate – WordPress plugin | WordPress.org or POEdit ( How to translate a WordPress theme including Shapely & Illdy - Colorlib ) to translate the strings.

Hello and thank you for the response. Yes, I managed to use Loco Translate to get the job done. At first it didn’t work because I had to actually change the language in Wordpress settings (to the desired one). Only then did it show teh changes on the website. This also meant Wordpress itself stayed in that language which I found confusing - so I had to install another plugin to switch between languages on the go.
