Hi
I’m trying to install the Sharply theme. I have followed the intall guide (Shapely Theme Documentation - Colorlib) but when i press “activate” theme the website and the wordpress-adminpage go white with the following error text:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /mounted-storage/home43b/sub003/sc32325-TMYS/www/ting/havfrue2/wp-content/themes/shapely/inc/customizer.php on line 22
I have used the newest wordpress version and have no aditional plugins og tools activated
Can anyone help. I’m a graphic artist with limited programming knowledge.

Please go to Appearance > Themes > Add New and search for Shapely then install the theme from there.

The theme installs but when i press the activate button the screen turns white with the error message… the whole wordpress admin site is lthe unaccessible so I have to delete the shapely theme folder using my ftp admin.
I have done this many times now.

Hmm… I must admit i’m not comfortable with giving out my backend access credential. Think I will try to get help from a programming friend first.
I’ll contact you if we dont find the solution… or if we find it I’ll let you know what we found out.

Found the problem…
I use Servage.net as my webhost. The default Servage php settings was the problem. I simply had to change from PHP v. 5.2 to PHP v. 5.4
