Each time I activate the shapely-companion plugin I get the following parse error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[’ in /home/marc/public_html/wp-content/plugins/shapely-companion/inc/widgets/widget-home-clients.php on line 84
I have tried reinstalling wordpress and the theme, but I still get the same error. Can anyone help me out please? Thank you.

Firstly Delete the Shapely helper plugin.
Then please access your hosting’s file server through the admin Panel or through FTP access.
• Navigate to wp-content/plugins in the main folder directory located on your hosting’s file server.
• Rename the current plugins folder to plugins_old and create a new folder by the name of plugins.
• Reinstall the Shapely helper plugin, and try activating.
