# Photon Theme Not Installing

The Photon Theme is refusing to install with the following error

Template is missing. Standalone themes need to have a `templates/index.html` or `index.php` template file. [Child themes](https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/advanced-topics/child-themes/) need to have a `Template` header in the `style.css` stylesheet.

Any ideas how to fix this?

It looks like WordPress can’t find the required theme files. Make sure you’re uploading the actual Photon theme folder and that it contains `style.css` plus `index.php` or `templates/index.html`. If it’s a child theme, also check that `style.css` has the correct `Template:` header matching the parent theme folder name. A fresh download may also help if the package is incomplete.
