Picture Position on home page

I would like these pictures to appear on my home page in a straight line.
How do I set this up as they sit on different levels in the page?

Have you entered the text under them or they are excerpts of post content?

Yes they are images with a caption, not featured images.

Yes I would like an overall screen of something similar to that, with these 3 pictures in a row, then my plug in slider underneath

You can try achieving that by setting static front page in your site reading settings as shown in the attached screenshot and then adding the content in the content area of that front page.

I already have that set up as shown and I can’t get the images to sit in a straight line.
