I saw in the shapely demo that the portfolio is also a page. Can someone help me with some steps towards creating that?

I hope you are doing well today.
Once you have the Jetpack plugin activated and the portfolio custom post type is active, you can simply create a new page called Portfolio and paste “[portfolio]” (without the quotes into the page) and that will allow you to display the portfolio.
