I really like the Activello theme, thanks. I just didn’t figure out the following thing (quite new to WP as well). Is it possible to create a post grid on the homepage underneath the two column posts? I created my homepage in full grid style, but like to add a post grid with 4 of 5 columns as well (just image + title with newest or most populair posts but not in a sidebar).
I tried to achieve this with the plugin Content Views and Jetpack, both didn’t work on the homepage.
Can you help me out here?
I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
I am not sure what you meant by “create a post grid on the homepage underneath the two column posts” so could you please describe it a bit more in detail by sharing screenshot of it so that i can help you?
Thanks you for your respond and sorry for the vage description. So my homepage looks like the first screenshot now (full grid style). I was wondering how I can add a grid style like the second screenshot (photo and article title, but four or more columns) underneath the activello grid style (printscreen 1) to feature some different or special articles. I seem not to find the right plugin.
You have to develop custom code to achieve it.
Ok thanks I understand. I just thought maybe there is a plugin that works, somehow the Content Views plugin doesn’t show on my homepage…
Are you talking about the following plugin?
Yes I am. I tried to paste te shortcut in the index.php file as described at their forum, but it doesn’t show up on the homepage.
Have you tested this plugin functionality with any WordPress default theme like Twenty Fifteen?
If not then first of all please test it with default theme and let me know how it works for you.
I tried it for the Twenty Fifteen theme and it doesn’t work properly for that theme either.
Then it seems the plugin issue and not theme issue.
You are always welcome here
