I hope sb is able to help me… I set up my homepage as the static page and my category blog as posts site. All posts are shown correctly on posts site, but homepage is empty. I am sorry for the inconvenience caused here however as it stands, you can only have one post page so it would be best to use the home page to display the posts, however, you could attempt using the plugin linked below to add a latest posts shortcode to your homepage that could display your latest posts on the homepage in addition to the regular blog page:
