Print CSS

Hi, first of all I want to thank you for this awesome theme.

I would like to get rid of the print plugin I installed (see the print this section of my website: http://myguitarsongs.com/pride-amy-macdonald/) and set up a separate print.css file.

I tried to put this code on the head section of my webpage:

<link rel=“stylesheet” href=“http://myguitarsongs.com/wp-content/themes/Activello-master/style.css
type=“text/css” media=“screen, print” />
<link rel=“stylesheet” type=“text/css” media=“print” href=“http://myguitarsongs.com/wp-content/themes/Activello-master/print.css”/>

The print.css file starts with: @ media print and uses the same instructions I use for the print plugin

By doing this I get only a mess. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Stefano

Hi Stefano,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

You can create a print file for your site without using any plugin as described on the following pages.

Thank you Movin, I learned a lot from your links.

However I was not able to implement a proper print.css file.

I asked a professional web developer and he couldn’t do it either.

Hi Stefano,

Could you please tell me exactly what you meant by a proper print.css file that the professional web developer also couldn’t do and how much of that you could do and what’s remaining?

You can hire a developer from any freelance site to create it but we recommend the developer https://www.upwork.com/freelancers/~011652ffec8865c6d5

Thank you very much Movin. Vinod is an excellent web developer and he solved all my problems about the print.css.

I wish to share the child theme he created for me.

Regards

Stefano

You are most welcome here :slight_smile:
