Question about using designs, not code

Hello,

I just wanted to first thank you for your efforts putting this website together, there is an extensive list of templates available and it is quite impressive that you are giving it all away with a CC by 3.0 license.

The reason for my question is I am a web developer and looking to expand on my portfolio and I am hitting a bit of a creative roadblock. I was wondering if it would be acceptable for me to utilize the designs of the templates you provide and implement them using my own code. I have no intentions of using them for any client work, more so as practice and using them as a way to demonstrate my abilities.

I could be mistaken, so I apologize if I am, but I think this would make sense with the license as it doesn’t list no derivatives. Obviously if you guys don’t want me doing this, I would respect that and find other resources however if it was okay, I was wondering if there is any limitation to how attribution is provided? I would like to give attribution but just the wording of " This template is made with <3 by Colorlib" would be slightly confusing in the context of how I would want to use it. Would it be okay if I changed the attribution to something like “Design by Colorlib” and linked back to the website?

Anyway, hopefully my request makes sense and if its not okay to do I completely understand, just wanted to know if it would be acceptable usage of what you guys provide.

Thanks

Hey there

First of all, thank you for kind words
I’m not sure if you can copy styles of our template, but in either way, this is definitely not so good idea, there are millions of eye-catching design out there in the web, check out dribble, Creativemarket they have hundreds of design examples for inspiration, why you want to copy design when you can create better.
Talkin here is not about you can or not, the main question is why?? you can get inspiration but copying design is not so good thing,

Hey,

Thank you for the suggestions! I will check those out.

Thanks for the quick response

Thank you for understanding
