Read more button for featured slider text area

Hi Aigars,

if I add a post to the slider, the content preview shows the complete post. Is it possible to limit this text maybe to 200 signs followed by a “…read more” ?

Slider does have limit for number of characters if you choose auto generated excerpts. If you set excerpts manually then there is no limit. Some users will want to post a lot of content there so I give them that opportunity.

I strongly recommend to use use Lorem Ipsum text for testing because your approach won’t give you exact results how theme works: http://lipsum.com/

Thanks Aigars for your answer. Can you give me a hint where I can enable “auto generated excerpts” ? Yes i should switch to Lorem texts :wink:
