Remove "Archives" and "Categories" from archive pages - and change fonts?

Hi there,

I have 2 questions

  1. I need to remove the words “Archives” and “Categories” from category / archive pages.
    I’ve been through the forums several times and have seen answers relating to older versions of Illdy (the recommendation about editing the template-tags.php file which no longer exists). Please help??

  2. I use two languages on my website (English/Greek) and the Greek unfortunately displays in a different font to the English. Following advice on one of the forum posts I installed the “Use any Font” plugin. It fixed things in some places, but not in all, so parts of the front page have sans-serif fonts in both languages, parts of it use a serif font for the Greek and it looks a mess. I need something that will change all fonts to sans-serif, site wide. I used the code snippet

/Paragraph font/
.front-page-section .section-header .section-description {
font-family: sans-serif;
}

#header .bottom-header .section-description {
font-family: sans-serif;
}
/Change fonts/
h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, p, span, button {
font-family: sans-serif;
}

but it changes only some parts of the front page (and other pages), not all of them. I need something that will make all the Greek text sans-serif,

Any assistance welcome. The site is still in development so I can’t post a link, but can make a new user if that would work.

Thanks

hello

  1. Please provide a link to the pages for both words and I will check it
  2. same here, I need a link to the page where a font is not applied and reference text

Hi Noda and t hanks for your reply. The site is not live yet and I don’t want to take down the “coming soon” screen until it is ready. I am attaching screenshots in the hope that this is enough, but if you need to get inside the admin area I can create a new user and send you a login/password if you tell me where I can send it privately for you to take a look.

Right now I don’t have a page with the “Archives” problem - this happened when I tried using the WP Portfolios function, but it didn’t suit my needs. I’m sending another example where the word “Month” appears when browsing blog archives - I would like all these prefix words to be gone.

There is also a front page screenshot showing part of the problem with the fonts - you will see how the two languages are in obviously different fonts. This is happening inconsistently in various places sitewide, but I can’t see a pattern to it.

Any help gratefully received,

Thanks so much
Sasha

Sending these images separately as they were too big for the previous upload
