remove "edit" link/button

Hi, I am kinda new to the theme. I am trying to remove the “EDIT” link/button at the bottom of my every page. http://chensphoto.com/ . i could not find the switch to remove it. Any idea how to remove it? thank you!

Hi @chenlmbd,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

The edit link is only displayed for logged in admin users for their convenience.

If you want to remove it then you can do so by adding the following CSS code in the Custom CSS option of your theme on the below path.

Admin Area -> Apperance -> Theme Options -> Other -> Custom CSS

.entry-meta span.edit-link,
.entry-meta i.fa.fa-pencil-square-o {
  display: none;
}

Hi There,

I am using Sparkling Theme, and I would like to also remove the edit link, however is it possible to remove it from specific page ID’s? I have some pages that are accessed by an Editor user on the dashboard which is info pages only and don’t want them to be able to edit those specific pages.

Thanks very much for your help. Awesome Theme.

Pierre

Hi Pierre,

To help keep support thread separates could you please create your own thread for your question here https://colorlibsupport.com/c/sparkling/ instead of replying on others thread as it makes the thread messy and hard to read.

If you want to you can also add reference of this thread in your newly created thread.

We would be more than happy to help you on your new thread.

Cheers,
Movin
