Remove parent menu item link from header menu

I have a menu system that I am attempting to remove the parent link in the flyout menu. If the menu has a flyout, I don’t want to have it as a linked page. Unsure if this is theme related or WP related, but hopefully there is a solution.

duplicate, I have already answered in the other thread.

Please confirm you got it alright.

Like I said, you need a custom menu item, set up the title but make the URL to not point anywhere.
Simply leaving it blank will not do the trick, you need some dummy URL that will not reload the page, like the javascript void.
