I’ve reached an impasse with my coding prowess. I have gotten my site nearly perfect except there’s one glaring issues I would like to fix. I have found codes that can successfully remove the sidebar from my homepage, but the remaining body is left unaligned and looks small with massive white space surrounding it. I would like to know what css code is require to 1. remove the sidebar while simultaneously moving the body of posts to the center of the page. See attached examples of what it looks like and what i’d like it to look like Website is https://shayshaytries.com
Hey there,
I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
I’m checking out your website and it seems you’ve resolved the issue. (see screenshot)
Do you need assistance with this?
Best regards,
Support.
Yes, sort of. So I was able to remove and center on the homepage, but the post pages also have that same formatting now. I would like to keep the formatting for the actual posts so that there is still a sidebar of widgets. Currently this is the code I’m using…how can I modify it to reflect the changes?
`.home #secondary,
.single #secondary {
display: none;
}
.home #content .col-md-8,
.single #content .col-md-8 {
float: none !important;
margin: auto;
}
Hey there
hope you are having a good day
If you want your code to work only on homepage then you have to use remove all single references from the code, like this:
.home #secondary {
display: none;
}
.home #content .col-md-8 {
float: none !important;
margin: auto;
}
Code will work only on homepage while other pages will be unaffected
