When you resize the display window, the slider image becomes “squished” and does not resize to proportion, it merely resizes its width.
Is there any way to prevent the “squish” and have it resize the height instead of width?

This might be due to your customizations as you can see on our theme demo there are no problem with slider. It always keep the same aspect ratio on any device.

I have removed my customizations, and even deactivated the child theme, but the slider still won’t look normal when resized.
Let me know if there is any other way we might be able to troubleshoot, so I can avoid buying a slider plugin -

It should work exactly like in theme demo. If it doesn’t just disable all plugins to see if it does anything.
