How do I set pics for slider. I have it set to display, but I want to display specific pics from my upload folder. I can see no setting in the Dashboard to do this.

Dazzling WordPress theme uses posts and their featured images inside slider.
You need to create posts and add featured images to theme and then use Category of these posts in Theme Options to specific which Category of posts you want to display inside slider. You can read more about featured images on official WordPress documentation.
Another thing is to create slider manually like I have described here. It might take some time thinkering how to use this method but that way you will get full flexibility.
