Setup a post summary on My Homepage!

Hi Team/Movin,

I have try to setup a summary posts into my homepage but still i keep see full text when i visit my homepage.
When am in customize the site i can see the summary but except when i visit the site direct.
Please is there any alternative for that or i was missing something

I have tested it on my test site and it’s working fine for me using latest version of Sparkling theme.

Have you made any changes in the theme files?

Could you please share me the screenshot of theme customizer excerpt option from your site?

Hi Movin,

I did not make any change to theme files.
Below are the screen shoot for my Content.php and also theme customizer excerpt option.
If you take a look you can see that the site in the customizer mode will show a summary but if you visit the site direct the homepage will be full text.

This can be due to plugin conflict on your site so please try temporary deactivating all plugins and see whether everything works fine and then enable the plugins one by one to see which plugin is conflicting if any.

If this is not the case then would you mind if i log in to your site and do some troubleshooting? If this is ok then could you please share me your site log in details privately by checking the option “Set as private reply” when replying to this topic?

Thank you for sharing the site details but it is not working for me on your shared site.

Could you please make sure the shared site details are working fine?

Also have you checked for plugin conflict as described above?

I deactivate all plugins but the problem keep existing.
The login details work fine for me.

Thank you for sharing the working site details.

I logged in to your site and just checked and unchecked the theme option “Show post excerpts?” which made the excerpts to display on the home page of your site.

Could you please check whether it is working for you now?
