Thank you for the beautiful free theme.
I am trying to do the same thing as the original poster here asked about

I have followed your instructions exactly in that original thread, and sadly it is not working, I have my home page sitting at the top of the screen, with only a part of my photo showing as the parralax below, on the left side of the screen.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
You should set static front page in your site Reading Settings and set page template of that page to “Home Page” in the page edit screen.
Then in the Widgets screen add the Shapely theme widgets in the Home Page sidebar and configure it.
I visited your site and it seems you have not set page template of your front page to “Home Page” in the page edit screen as shown in the attached screenshot so please do it.
