I have a couple plugins that use short codes but the short codes don’t work on Woocommerce Product Pages. Is there something I can do in the theme to make these pages accept short code?
Thanks.
Wally
Sorry for the delay here.
Do you still need assistance for it so we can help you?
Hi Movin,
Yes, I’m still trying to figure out how to get short codes from plugins to work on my Woocommerce Product Pages. Thanks for your help.
Wally
Could you please tell me which shortcodes, where and how you are trying to use so that i can help you?
Here are three examples from three different plugins that work on pages and posts but not on Woocommerce product pages. All of these just show up just as text in square brackets on the product pages.
Amazon Bestsellers plugin
[amazon bestseller=“tub tile scrubber” items=“3” ]
Price Comparison Manager plugin
[pcm id=“2”]
Video Popup plugin
[video_popup url=“Copper Chef Review | HighYa - YouTube” text=“Copper Chef Pan” auto=""]
I have tried placing these short codes in the product description after my text or at various places in my product text.
The last plugin offers an alternative to use an html linking code with class=“vp-s” included in the code. The html version of the code does work for that plugin on the product pages. The other two plugins don’t offer an html option.
I also use a plugin called Prosociate that creates product pages for me and I place the short codes in the description area.

Thanks for your help.

Do you please check whether the default WordPress shortcodes like [gallery] works for you in the product description?
Also check whether the above plugins shortcodes work fine if you use any default WordPress theme like Twenty Sixteen?
