"Site does not support widgets" when importing widgets

I have installed theme and yes, I have also activated the theme. I then imported the demo content which was successful, but when I try to import the widgets it gives me an error saying “the site does not support this widget” for all of the shapely widgets (for the default widgets it simply says “this widget already exists”.

What could be causing this issue?

I’ve also set “Settings > Reading” to “Static Page > Front Page”.

I was facing this issue too.

So I was playing around when I found this (almost) fix. I found a plugin called Shapely Companion. I installed it and activated it.
Then I imported the .wie file again and it seemed to import all the plugins except 2.

Okay, I figured out the rest part too.

I had to install and activate a plugin called “Jetpack”. Once I did that and imported the .wie file again, the remaining two widgets also got imported.
