When I upload cover pictures for the posts, they get cropped iin the slider and in the post independently of the format or resolution of the picture.
How do I get the whole picture to be displayed?

You can try displaying whole images in the slider by using the attached small plugin specially developed for you that contains some custom code.

The plugin worked on the featured image of the post but it didn´t on the slider.

As you can see, the head of the elephant-rider is cropped. I deactivated other plugins, and have no additional CSS that refers to the slider that affects it in this way.
