Slider without links!

Hi, I would love not to have the link to the post in each post of the slider. I’m using Sparkling theme, not a child one.

I’ve seen this solution: https://colorlibsupport.com/t/slider-with-link-to-the-post/#post-80389 But I don´ know how to use this child theme, I’m afraid of breaking something if I install it… can you explain it a bit more, please? Thanks!

Also, is it possible that one slidehave the link, while others not? I know, hate me!

Another solution for me will be this: I want to show content in the slide (posts) but I don’t want them to appear in the blog time line. I’ve tried to use WP Hide Post plugin, but the posts don’t appear in the slider. Thanks.

Hi @ricardobm,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your questions.

You have to install the shared child theme on your site as you install the sparkling or any other WordPress theme as described on the following pages.

https://www.siteground.com/tutorials/wordpress/install_themes.htm

You have to develop more custom code in that child theme to achieve this.

To help us keep support thread separates could you please create new thread for each of your other questions here https://colorlibsupport.com/c/sparkling/ instead of asking them in your single thread as it makes the thread messy and hard to read.

If you want to you can also add reference of this thread in your newly created thread.

We would be more than happy to help you on your new thread.

Best Regards,
Movin

Thanks!

You are most welcome here
