Social icon links open page in same window, not new window

When I click on my social icon buttons, it opens the link in the same window. I have checked and unchecked the “open in new tab” checkboxes, and it doesn’t seem to matter. How do I get those links to open in a new tab or window? Please advise.

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

I have tested it on my test site and it’s working fine for me using latest version of Activello theme an checking the menu option “open in new tab”.

Could you please share me your site URL where it’s not working so that i can troubleshoot it?

I have the same problem. I do not have the menu option “open in new tab”.

I am having the same problem- I can’t work out how to make my social media icons open in a new window. There doesn’t appear to be any “open in new window” option

You can access the menu option “Open link in a new tab” by enabling it from the Screen Options as shown in the attached screenshot.
