Hi,
I am using a static page for my website’s home page. Instead of slider, I wish to use a full size static header image.

I installed Unique Headers plugin and set the image to full size 1920 x 550 px in the plugin settings for the page. However, it seems the theme is scaling the image to 720 x 206 px. (see attached image)

I have also installed the Colorlib plugin and made the following change in the code.
add\_image\_size( ‘sparkling-featured’, 1920, 800, true );

but somehow the theme doesn’t display full-size for other pages even if I don’t use Unique Headers plugin.

Though I want this for selected pages and not for posts. For posts I’ll continue to use the default Sparkling featured image size.

Tx,

Hi,
Here is the link: [http://fabstori.com/home](http://fabstori.com/home)

I simply want to replace the slider with a full width static image for home and other pages. The menu bar should appear at the top (default sparkling) followed by image. And the image should scroll with the page and not remain fixed.

Sorry, not a coder 🙂
Thanks,

Hey there,

Thank you for replying with this information.

What you’re trying to achieve would actually require some custom Coding, The plugin you’re trying to use inserts the header at the top of navigation bar in code.

What I suggest you do is create a single category which you will use to for header of the home page. You can then use CSS to remove the pointer events and anything else, making the slider appear as a static image. (This i can assist you with)

If it the customizations you wish to achieve are of the highest priority, I suggest getting a freelance developer to assist you with this. You can find talented developers for cheap on places like [www.upwork.com](http://www.upwork.com)
