Theme adaptions

Hi Movin

Is there anyway that you have a child theme that keeps the social icons at the top right replacing the search bar, but keeps the sidebar on the right hand side, and that also has larger social icons and menu lettering at the top?

Kind regards

Bliss

Hi Bliss,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

You can try achieving this by using the solution posted in the following topic.

Hi Movin

I asked the same question in that forum and you said to create a separate thread

The child theme in the thread you have linked has the sidebar on the left hand side but I would like it on the right. It also like to have the social icons on the top right, and the menu and icons font to be larger. Is this possible?

Many thanks

Bliss

Actually you are asking many questions in one reply so let’s address it one by one.

The solution for this is here https://colorlibsupport.com/t/replace-search-bar-on-homepage-with-social-menu/#post-61597

The child theme in the thread you have linked has the sidebar on the left hand side but I would like it on the right.

You can change it from theme or page layout settings as shown in the attached screenshots.

It also like to have the social icons on the top right, and the menu and icons font to be larger. Is this possible?

Yes it is possible to achieve this by developing custom CSS code.

After doing above please share me your site URL where it is displaying so that i can help you to develop custom CSS code.

Hi Movin

I hope you are well today, thank you for your reply.

I have downloaded the child theme from the link you have sent from another forum and I have changed the sidebar to the right like you advised from the Customize options, but it is still on the left sidebar (below attachment). What else could I try to change the sidebar?

Its blossominbattle.co.uk

Thank you for your help!

Bliss

What else could I try to change the sidebar?

Please edit your home page and set layout to right sidebar as shown in the first screenshot that i shared above.

Hi Movin

I’ve changed it like you shared above and you can see on the screenshot in the message I sent above that I changed it to the right bar, but it still isn’t moving to the right.

Many thanks

Bliss

I am not talking about that screenshot but the first screenshot that i shared. I have attached it again here so please share me the similar screenshot from your site.

Hi Movin

Sorry, I apologise, I forgot to add the other screenshot also of the rightside bar function from the pages tab. Please find attached the changes I have made to the right side bar from your recent screen shot.

The sidebar is still on the left hand side.

Are there any other options I could try to getting the sidebar on the right?

Thank you for all the help, I really appreciate it

kind regards

Bliss

Actually the sidebar is at the right side of your site but it’s displaying below the content on static home page because of the issue reported in the following topic.

https://colorlibsupport.com/t/sidebar-at-bottom-of-page/#post-55341

To resolve the issue download and use the latest version of Activello theme from this page https://github.com/puikinsh/Activello

Hi Movin

Thank you- will this allow me to have it on the right side but also keep the social icons at the top right hand side where the search bar used to be?

I just don’t want to lose the child theme that I used for those changes.

Many thanks

Bliss

To achieve both of those functionalities i have merged the two child themes shared in the following topics so please try using the attached merged child theme.
