I recently installed the TinyMCE Advanced Plugin plugin for the Sparkling theme. After installing I found that none of the plugin features worked and that my default (Georgia) font was changed and that layout options such as Bullets, images, etc. no longer aligned.
Have I done something wrong during the installation or is there something I need to do when I install?

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.
I have tested it on my test site using latest version of Sparkling theme and latest version of following TinyMCE Advanced plugin which worked fine for me without any issue.
Please make sure that you are using latest versions of both and WordPress.
This can be due to plugin conflict on your site so please try temporary deactivating all other plugins and see whether everything works fine and then enable the plugins one by one to see which plugin is conflicting if any.
