Title and tagline on homepage only

Hi,

I’ve searched for the answer in these forums and only found a partial answer… I would like my Site Title and Tagline to appear on my homepage only and not any other pages. I found an answer for how to get rid of it from all pages (by adding the following code to the additional CCS: (#masthead > .container { display: none;}) but this code also gets rid of it from the homepage too.

Is it possible to have the site Title and Tagline appear on the Homepage only and not on any other pages?

Many thanks

Hey there,
Hope you’re doing well today

Here’s a quick solution to that. Just make a copy of that CSS and add .home before the second copy and change it to display:block, basically enabling the section on the homepage while also disabling it everywhere else.

Here’s the code for that:

.home #masthead > .container { display: block!important;}

I hope this helps :slight_smile:

Thanks for your quick reply! I can’t seem to get the code above to change anything, the homepage still lacks the title and tagline. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong though? So, the whole code should be

#masthead > .container { display: none;}
.home #masthead > .container { display: block!important;}

?

Many thanks

Yes you are right.

The whole code should be as you have shared above.

Hello there,

I hope you are doing well today.

Please try using the following CSS code instead:

.home #masthead > .container { display: block !important;}
