Unable to make changes to front page

Hi, I need to make some changes to the copy on the front page and I’m unable as the widgets don’t initialize.

Really? Everything is up to date. All plugins on the site have been there for over 2 years. The site is backed up. Please give me some real help…

Here’s an error message I’ve found:
The “shapely_home_parallax” block was affected by errors and may not function properly. Check the developer tools for more details.

Well I’ve found the problem. The new block editor was causing the problem. I installed the “Classic Editor” plugin and it’s working fine now.
