I just updated the Shapely theme today on the website (RileyShepard.com) and the all homepage Shapely widgets don’t work now. They show under widgets in editor, but not when customizing with live previeall Shapely widgets no longer show on homepage.

At least I am still building and don’t have much content to load, but every time I log back in it seems that I have to delete theme and reinstall… help?
What it seems is that “Homepage” widget is not loading for any pages, but the sidebar widget. I am just baffled at how to switch the two.

I figured it out.
Go to Pages > Front Page.
Change Template from “Default” to “Front Page”, somehow updating changes this to default. That worked for me - my homepage is now correct.
Well spotted, mhardgrove. Just one correction: you change the template to “Homepage” not “Front Page”.
Good thing people on here are problem solvers. Support doesn’t seem very supportive.
Thanks for this solution, mhardgrove! Unfortunately, seems like all of the changes that I had made to the actual code through the editor are now lost. Very frustrating…

So yesterday, I set the home page to home page using the template that seemed to fix the problem. I had updated the header color and font color of the menu by inserting the code below into the Stylesheet (style.css). Everything this morning reverted back to the broken front page with none of the changes to the header. Does anyone know if there was another update? Alternatively, does anyone know whether there is a way to unsync updates from Shapely?
At this point, I’m tempted to abandon this theme altogether…
.main-navigation {
background-color: #213444
}
.menu li a {
color: #F1615C
}
I would revert back to version 1.0.5 until they can fix everything, or answer people if the theme is truly intended to be changed. I’m fairly uncertain as you are on whether this was an intentional update or was an accident of changes.
How do you revert back to version 1.0.5?
Also is there any way to save or backup changes that I make in the code through the Editor?
Reverting the theme will not help reset your homepage. And I doubt it will bring back your custom styles.
I would recommend editing CSS through the theme and not through style.css. That way when you update, you don’t lose your custom styling.
Seriously, folks? I lost everything on my site? Is there no way to reverse? I have not opened anything and I’m missing EVERYTHING!
What would be the whole way? Where do I find this option?
Hey guys!
I just solved it by installing the Shapely mandatory plugin! Look for it at an advertising in your desk. Hope it helps!
Hi guys,

Guys, I did not understand the following. Do you have or how to rescue everything that was lost?
Hi @lucianoleao,
Can you follow these steps: https://colorlibsupport.com/t/broken-site-after-recent-update/#post-89125 if that didn’t solve the issue, please create a new thread with your issue.
