Basically, just like the title says, I was wondering if there was any way to use the Portfolio section of the Shapely Theme to be able to have my Instagram posts on.

That would not be possible because the widget used was not created to work with Instagram but you can try using a third party plugin to add a new Instagram widget. Here is one that you can try out:
