user-scalable=no ??

Hi!
Is there a reason for
meta name=“viewport” content=“width=device-width, initial-scale=1, maximum-scale=1, user-scalable=no”

why not
meta name=“viewport” content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1

which is much more user-friendly?

Best regards,
Alex

Hey there

Alex thank you for a good point, but there are good and bad arguments on why this is used, you may find better answers by researching your question in the internet, please also consider, Illdy template was created several years ago

Hi!
I know the general reasons for using the viewpoint (I’ve been coding for over 20 years by now). I just wondered if there was a special reason for the ILLDY theme to use “user-scalable=no”

" Illdy template was created several years ago"

Ok, but that’s no reason not to make a good theme even better

Anyway: may I suggest to change that to the now more general used “width=device-width, initial-scale=1” or, even better, to put this as an option into the customizer?
As last resort, it could go into the documentation, since it is just a tiny modification of header.php in the child theme,

Or is the theme abandoned, with no further development?

Cheers,
Alex

Alex, thank you cone again, your suggestion is sent to our developers, they can better judge about this or any other issues:
