Using sidebar for placing adverts

Hi Movin,
I would like to be able to use sidebar for adverts to point to either something on my own site, like new items in the shop, or on someone else’s site, in which case I would need to open in it in a new window, if clicked on. So, I would like to place a pic in the sidebar, which, if clicked on, would take you to that particular item in my shop. At the moment, sidebar has recent posts, recent comments, archives and categories. I may want to have this capability, but perhaps, on a different page and use sidebar for mainly promoting things in my shop. How do I do that? Thank you for your question.

Just use text widget in the sidebar and add in it whatever you want by using HTML code as described in the following page.
