Video competition with Shapely

Hi,

I’m planning to build a simple site with a video gallery that people could submit their own videos (upload a video file from desktop or phone) and then vote on them. Quick summary:

  • Access to the site via password (one password for everyone which we will share with our employees)
  • About section with few videos to watch
  • Video submission form to upload your video (mp4, ogg, avi, mov) and describe it, provide user details, name, city
  • Moderation of all submitted videos
  • Video gallery for all submitted videos
  • Sorting of the gallery to see the recent videos, the most liked ones, videos from specific location
  • Voting on the videos by clicking a LIKE button (NOT Facebook ‘Like’). Voting will not be available from the beginning. We will switch it on during Phase 2

Would this be possible with Shapely? Does it include any video moderation or upload functionality?

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

This type of functionality is provided by WordPress plugin and not theme so Shapely theme doesn’t contains this functionality but you can try achieving this by using any of the following plugins with Shapely theme and developing custom code if required.
