Hi, I’m running the travelify theme:
I’m wondering how I can have different layout options depending on the page. On my home page I’d like the side bar to the right but on my blog posts I want no side bar.
Under theme options in Wordpress, I found Layout Options, but it says you can choose different layout for each page via editor. When I go to the Editor it says that editing the code is highly discouraged and to proceed with caution.
Any tips for an easier way to accomplish this?

When I go to the Editor it says that editing the code is highly discouraged and to proceed with caution.I think you mistakenly went in to theme or plugin editor but what we are referring in the Layout options screen ""This will set the default layout style. However, you can choose different layout for each page via editor"" is post or page editor.
You can access the post or page editor by editing the post or page where you will get layout option as shown in the attached screenshot which will only apply to that specific post or page.
