I need to put some tracking code into the footer of the site. The problem is I could not see the footer editor when I clicked on Appearances > Editor. Where is it and where does the tracking code go?

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
You are doing it wrong. If you make changes in the theme file then you have to make these changes again after theme updation as changes made in the theme files get lost on theme updation.
So we recommend to make changes by creating child theme of Sparkling theme and then adding the tracking code in the footer.php file of child theme.
If you tell me a bit more in detail which tracking code you are trying to use then i can help you accordingly.
