Add a shortcode above Jumbotron entry

Hi guys,
Firstly, thanks for an awesome looking theme!! I appreciate all the work you do on it.

I want to add a countdown shortcode just above the text entry on the Jumbotron section.
it just comes out as text tho - is there syntax I can use to include the shortcode pls?

Hello there,

I hope you are having a good day.

As it stands, short-codes do not work in the WordPress theme customizer, so you could try adding the short-code as a widget by going to Appearance > Widgets and add a text widget to the website then paste the short-code in the text widget.

Yes I can do that - but there’s then no way to add a widget above/below the Jumbotron?

I’d like to add this just above or below the Jumbotron - please can you tell me how?
