! after 1.2.6 update missing picture on top of every page

After updating to the new 1.2.6 version of shapely a missing picture is placed on all pages before the content starts. Whats causing this? I rolled back the update to previous 1.2.5 and every thing is fine. The mysteriously marked as missing pictures on top of each page are gone …

I guess the update, after such a long time is importand to instal. But not when it leeds to such a misbehavour.

I hope this error can be fixed …

I am also having this problem. It was placing a full-width empty image placeholder on the top of every page that doesn’t have a featured image defined (this one: [website address]/wp-content/themes/shapely/assets/images/placeholder.jpg)

I had to revert back from 1.2.16 to 1.2.15 in order to fix it. The update also broke several of my fontawesome icons throughout the website.

Can y’all fix 1.2.16 so that it doesn’t place these placeholder images at the top of each page?

Hello everyone!

Thanks for the feedback. We have already pushed an update on GitHub, and it will be available via your WordPress dashboard shortly as well.

We introduced a setting to show or hide and replace placeholder images—via Appearance> Customize> Blog Settings> Blog Index Settings.

Please check and let us know what you think of this solution, and if there’s is anything else that doesn’t work like it should.

ok, with these settings Customize> Blog Settings> Blog Index Settings> the placeholder images are gone. Thanks for this.
Hope that also all other things are working still well as they should … Would be nice if you could tell what has been changed or fixed with the last update. On the shapely support site there is

Version: 1.2.14
Last updated: April 2022

reported as the last and current version. Thats very outdated … whats going on at colorlib?? Noone seems to care about a good maintainance anymore … a sad thing, over the years everything worked very well and trustfull with color lib/shapeley. I always loved to work with that theme on diffrent websites …
