Does anyone know how to fix this automatic link from a post in Illdy theme? I want the link to just go directly to my homepage but don’t know how to edit the link. I’ve no idea about coding so just a simple fix would be great.
Thank you!

Hi Noda
Disabling the link would be good. But my website isn’t live at the moment - I’m just building and testing it. Presumably I will have to make it live and then send you a link to one of my posts for you to see?

Hi There,

Sure, Do let me know when the test site is live and also share the link so that I may be able to assist with the disabling process.

Hope to hear from you soon

I’ve temporarily made the site live so you can see.
Post link is: April 2019 – The Chocolate Works Residents Association
In my email the post has 2 links to CWRA Admin - one at the top and one at the bottom as the screenshots attached show. This is the problem link that I’d like to disable if possible.

I’ve also noticed another issue - on my phone when I view the homepage the logo is distorted. How can I fix this? Image also attached.
Thanks for your help!

Just wondering if you’ve had chance to look at my post link yet? Or issue with distorted logo? Sorry to chase up but I’m just concerned about the website being live when it’s far from ready! I’d like to reactivate the ‘Coming Soon’ page asap.
Kind regards,
Andrea

Good evening

Ok, no i see we are talking about the different things, you did not mention the link in the mail and I thought you wanted to disable link in the post itself, in other words, i thought this is manipulation on the website, unfortunately, we can’t touch emails because they are generated by WordPress itself and from the theme this is definitely not possible to change, you may need to dive into this problem and research little bit more to on how to edit email notifications template in WordPress

Logo - right now you have a text logo on your site and i can’t replicate your problem

Hi again
I’ve had a Website specialist look at this and he has confirmed that it is definitely a problem with the theme. The broken link is within the post - not in the email so definitely not generated by WordPress. Please can someone look at this and let me know if there is an update to fix the issue? I really don’t want to have to change the theme. I’m sure I am not the only person having this problem. Would appreciate your help in this matter. Thank you

Good evening

Sorry but you still not provide clear questions for clear answers :frowning:
“The broken link is within the post – not in the email so definitely not generated by WordPress” - Where do you want to remove the links from mail or from the posts? i guess you want to do this from the mail, if this is the case then i can tell you for sure emails are generated not by the theme, it’s handled by the WordPress and when there is a trigger for the post email including post author is sent to appropriate persons about the event, such functions are not theme related.
You can change theme temporarily and try again
