I’m looking to use a video instead of an image in a full background parallax section on my site (http://www.danielpenner.ca/ )
I have tried using the background video plugin from Video Background – WordPress plugin | WordPress.org but I am not able to use the provided shortcode in the widget.
Any help you can give is much appreciated!

Hi @danmanpen ,
I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
You can try achieving this by using the solution posted in the following topic.

Best Regards,

I believe that solution will allow me to embed an iframe that will display a Youtube video in the parallax section.
Is there a solution so that the video can be hosted and played directly from my site and not streamed via Youtube?
As I mentioned, I have installed the background video plugin which gives me a shortcode, but I haven’t found a way to add a shortcode to my homepage.
Thanks in advance for your help!

The information on the following pages will help you.

Looking to add videos to your site? Instead of uploading it to WordPress, we recommend that you upload it to Youtube and then embed the video in WordPress.

You can achieve this by using custom plugin solution shared in the following topic and then adding the shortcode in the Content field option of [Shapely] Parralax Section For FrontPage widget.
