Change the footer

Hi,

Many thanks for your work (Activello is a wonderfull theme and thanks to this forum I have already found solutions for some of my issues)!

I would like to create a “real” footer with some text and links to categories or pages of my blog. I tried to write some HTML in the Copyright section but it doesn’t work. I also tried to rewrite some code on my child theme’s functions.php but it was worse than ever !!

i’m a very beginner in this wonderfull world so thanks for any help you can bring !

Hi,

I think you should change/add these informations in the footer.php file. But remember… you should write them in php language, not html :wink:

Hi,

Thanks to your answer. I already tried to read the footer.php but it’s too hard for me to understand… and my changing tests were catastrophic (error 500 !).
Moreover, I thought that every theme change must be do in a child theme in order to keep them safe. So do I have to rewrite the code in the function.php of my child theme ?
Sorry, it’s still new for me and I’m a little confused !

You should alway make change in a child theme.
